Vista Entertainment develops the ultimate Beverly Hills work-play HQ

Spanning 10+ years, the longstanding representation relationship between Zacuto Group and Vista Entertainment culminates in a grand 24,000 SF Beverly Hills HQ designed to embrace Vista’s culture-centric work environment.

Client Background: Vista Entertainment is a publicly traded technology company, with a strong presence in the global movie theatre industry. With a focus on culture and growth, Vista Entertainment sought to reimagine their workspace to reflect their unique identity and accommodate their expanding team. They envisioned a space that blended work and play, provided a secure environment, and offering a warm welcome to clients and business associates from around the world.

Challenges and Objectives: The project faced several challenges, including the need to integrate indoor-outdoor elements, ensure safety and security, and create an environment suitable for hosting international guests. Zacuto Group aimed to address these challenges while maintaining the project within budgetary constraints.

Scope of Work: Zacuto Group was extensively involved in every phase of the project, from identifying and negotiating for the ideal space to conceptualization to construction management. Collaborating with Wolcott Architecture, the team completely transformed a space previously occupied by a financial services firm into a bespoke, custom-built environment that aligned with Vista’s vision.

Design and Construction Process: Zacuto Group and Wolcott Architecture worked closely with Vista Entertainment to establish a design vision that combined functionality, aesthetics, and cultural representation. The design process involved multiple iterations to ensure the final plan reflected the client's vision. Throughout the construction phase, Zacuto Group oversaw the project, managed contractor budgets, and facilitated communication between the various stakeholders.

Value Engineering: During the construction phase, the project faced a significant budget overrun of nearly $500,000. Zacuto Group played a crucial role in advising Vista Entertainment on value engineering strategies to bring the project back on budget. The team identified areas where cost savings could be achieved without compromising the overall vision and quality of the space.
